Happy Birthday Mommy

I got to spend my birthday at Bonneville Hot Springs with my mom this year. It was heavenly. Then we came home and my sweet boys spoiled me! It was a perfect birthday!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Turning Two at the Zoo!

On June 26th Braden turned two. I cannot believe how fast our sweet little baby has grown into a big boy! We spent the day at the zoo and then had presents and cupcakes at home. It was a wonderful day!

The cheetahs were very friendly.

Great Grammy Dot pushed Braden as much as she rode in her wheelchair, he loves it!

Where did we go...

I could give you all a million reasons why I haven't been blogging lately. The kitchen, school, soccer, family visits, birthdays, work, chasing little peeps, etc. Really, I just haven't been all that inspired to sit down and put it all together. Tonight I made 19 drafts to fill in from the last two months...so look to be bombarded this week! As fall is in full swing and we race towards Thanksgiving and Christmas I will attempt to make more regular updates, just in case you think we have high schoolers already! :) Thank you all for your patience and we love you!

Rusty and Megan's Wedding Reception

My cousin Rusty got married recently and had a wedding reception in Walla Walla, WA. My Mom, the boys, and I drove up (4 hrs each way) to the reception. My cousin Cody and his family were there, and the kids got to play together. We had so much fun we didn't leave the reception until 10 pm. Luckily the boys slept in the car, but it made for some tired drivers!

Cousins!

Meeting Baby Zac

In May my sweet nephew Zac was born. My mom, Braden, and I went to meet him and visit with Mia, Scott, and Mimi. Here are a few shots of our adventure to meet Mr. Zachary!

Only the Details Remain

We have reached the point of having a functional kitchen again. For the last few weeks we have been picking away at the details, but here is a good shot of the overall effect of the new kitchen. We will be finishing up the trim and back splash throughout the rest of August.

A Big Helper!

Through the years we have done many projects, and usually Jackson is right there helping at every step of the way. With the kitchen project we finally got to let Braden help.

The cabinets start to go in...

Preschool Graduation

My big boy gradeuated from preschool at the end of May. I cannot believe he will be in Kindergarten next year.

Walking into the ceremony with a flower for Mommy.

Jackson with Teacher Raechel.

Getting his certificate and treat bag from Teacher Wendy (his 3-year-old teacher).

Getting money from Grammy Claudia for being a big graduate!

And the sink stands alone...

The sink and old cabinet were the last to go in our project. This is the last shot of those old cabinets!

Taping and Mudding and Painting, Oh My!

Shaun told me that the taping, mudding, painting, and tiling were my things in this project. He wasn't planning to get involved at all! So, I recruited my mom to help since she has done mudding many times before in her life as a wallpaper hanger. Here we are trying to make the ceiling and walls livable until the day we can afford to take the popcorn off the rest of the ceilings in the house and get texture put on!
