Playing in the Mirror With Grammy

Grammy was showing Braden how the mirror worked this weekend.l He was fascinated by that baby looking back at him.

Watching Grammy in the mirror.

Jackson had to peek to see what Grammy was doing too. That Grammy is a fun lady!

Braden giving kisses to that baby in the mirror!

Sweet Little Goofus!

I just can't resist posting pictures of sweet Braden. He is growing so fast and has new tricks everyday. He is almost eight months old and brings such joy to our lives. Jackson adores him and we are so glad he helped grow our family. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the last few days.

Notice the faux-hawk? Braden's hair is getting so long on top that I had to do something. At this age Jackson was practically bald, so this hairy little guy makes me think I will have to give him haircuts far sooner than his older brother.

Braden loves to smile and laugh. He is a goofy little guy and already just as much of a ham as his brother. I think he senses that he will need to compete with all the cuteness of Jackson. Lucky for him he can hold his own in the cute department.

My sweet cherub.

I snapped this picture tonight before dinner. Braden was hanging out in the high chair while we cooked. He is always ready to shoot a grin my way, and luckily I have gotten pretty good at capturing them.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope you all had a day filled with love, even if it is a made-up holiday! We love you all!

Two of my sweet Valentines.

Frosting heart cookies with Grammy to take to our friends at Ms. Trish's house.

Grammy sneaking Braden some frosting. Guess what, he liked it! I know, shocking.

Cheesy Valentine smiles for everyone we love.

A big boy grin and showing off how we sit up now, Happy Valentine's Day from Braden too.

A Lunch Date With Auntie Ashley

On Sunday Auntie Ashley took Jackson to lunch and then to Target for a Valentine treat. He choose a Diego Lego set, and loves it!

Preschool Field Trip to the Children's Museum

I recently got to go on a field trip with Jackson to the Children's Museum. It was so fun to watch him take it all in. He was fascinated by everything and played with all of his friends from school. It was fun to watch.

I Like to Ride My Tricycle

Jackson has really gotten good at riding his tricycle. It seems like just yesterday he was asking to be pushed on his tricycle, and now we have to run to keep up. He even reminds us that he needs to wear a helmet. It is huge still, but he loves it and I figure we are establishing good habits.

Watching A Movie

When Shaun and I need to get a workout in on the weekend we let Jackson watch a movie in his room. We pull out the portable DVD player and he snuggles up on his bed. It is a special treat and we get a chance to workout.

Avatar Jackson

Daddy and Jackson have been watching a cartoon called Avatar: The Last Air bender. Jackson loves it, especially the part with the stick. I am not an expert, but he makes me laugh out loud when he shows me his moves.

Funny Faces

Can you tell that Jackson is a ham? If I point a camera in his direction I am almost guaranteed to get something goofy! Enjoy a little levity with my performer.

Rock on, Rock Band!!!

We recently purchased Rock Band and it is now Jackson's favorite thing to do as a family. He plays the drums, the guitar, and even likes to sing. He doesn't know that his part isn't turned on, so he rocks out with the best of them. Here is a quick video of him playing the drums while Daddy plays the guitar. Notice he is in his underwear...already a rock star at heart!

I'm a silly eater!

Braden is such a big boy now sitting up in the highchair, eating big boy food. Here are a few shots of him during a meal. He smiles even through the mess! Jackson also had to get in a shot because he wouldn't want his brother to take the spotlight.

Hanging out with Daddy!

Jackson and Braden both love to hang out with Daddy. Anywhere Daddy goes, they will follow if we let them.

Jackson and Daddy reorganizing the attic. Jackson thought it was really cool to climb up the big ladder and help Daddy.

A quick hug with Daddy always does the trick after a long day at work!

Pump it Up Party

Jackson went to his very first birthday party a few weeks ago. It was at a place called Pump It Up! Basically it is a giant room filled with blow-up bounce houses. Jackson had a blast! Here is a video of Jackson on the big slide and then a few shots from the party. What fun!

A Bath with my Brother

Jackson and Braden usually bath separately, but the other night we decided to let them take one together. They had so much fun. Braden is getting to be such a big boy and Jackson loved taking care of his brother. Hopefully this is just the beginning of their friendship as brothers.

A little brotherly hug.

Undeniable Cuteness!

Jackson is a goofball and Braden just keeps us guessing. My boys never fail to make me smile. I love them in new ways everyday. Here are a few shots of my sweet boys.

Jackson showing off his cheesy grin.

Braden working out those muscles on his stomach.

Don't ask me why, but Braden loves to sleep with a blanket over his face. We find him this way a lot, but I figure if it helps him sleep, so be it.

I just can't get enough of that grin!

Braden checking out Gatsby. He thinks it is pretty weird that one of our stuffed animals can move and talk!

Jackson put pillows all around Braden and told us it was Braden's airplane. I am not sure how that translates, but it sure is cute that Jackson wants to help his little brother.
