The Skylights Go In!

After we decided to gut the kitchen we had the grand idea of adding skylights. My Uncle David saved our bacon and came to help Shaun with the install. The skylights are awesome, and so is Uncle David!!!

Demo Days

We did all the demo in one weekend. Took down the upper cabinets, ceiling, and wall between the office/living area and the kitchen. Here is the progression.

The Kitchen Before

So, we are remodeling the kitchen. We started out thinking it would be a small job, mostly cosmetic. As we got into it and started thinking about our plans with this house and the current market it got a little more serious. Here are a few shots of the before.

Wall between the office/living area and the kitchen.

Make shift storage and upper cabinets.

Mother's Day Tea at Preschool

For Mother's Day Jackson put on a show at school and we had tea. Both Grammies came and Jackson gave me his hand print and a cute candle he decorated. Being Mom is the best job I have in this world!

Bye Bye Mexico

Beach Break Dancing

Jackson loves to dance...anywhere he can...even on the beach! I snapped these pictures while he was showing off his moves. I love how committed he is, I just hope he keeps on dancing!

Getting Tumbled by the Waves

So...perhaps we should have a tighter hold on Braden while standing in the surf. The first picture shows Braden mid tumble. The next two show him just after we retrieved him from the waves. He was none the worse for wear, and probably would have done it again...that is why we call him Danger Baby!

Flying a Kite in Mexico

Great Grammy Dot...the Hostess with the Mostest!

Grandma Dot turned 85 on our Mexico trip. Here she is with her friend Jeanie on her actual birthday. We are so glad that she helped take us all to Mexico to celebrate with her!

In the Pool...

Being thrown by Daddy.

Plotting a war plan with Grammy...watch out Caitie!

Floating in a tube with a ball.

Endlessly climbing in and out.

On the Beach...

Playing with piles of rocks.

Being chased by waves.

Getting thrown in the air by Daddy.

You Always Need a Safe Place to Keep Your Binkies!

If you look closely you can see two of Braden's binkies on this lovely bird. Papa started it, but it came in pretty handy throughout our trip. Plus, it was always good for a laugh when you looked up and saw a giant fake bird holding little blue binkies!

Golfing Dudes

Shaun and his dad golfed a couple of times on our trip to celebrate Shaun's birthday. Stephen goes for the laughs and Shaun is a bit more serious...the pictures say it all!
