Rock on, Rock Band!!!

We recently purchased Rock Band and it is now Jackson's favorite thing to do as a family. He plays the drums, the guitar, and even likes to sing. He doesn't know that his part isn't turned on, so he rocks out with the best of them. Here is a quick video of him playing the drums while Daddy plays the guitar. Notice he is in his underwear...already a rock star at heart!

I'm a silly eater!

Braden is such a big boy now sitting up in the highchair, eating big boy food. Here are a few shots of him during a meal. He smiles even through the mess! Jackson also had to get in a shot because he wouldn't want his brother to take the spotlight.

Hanging out with Daddy!

Jackson and Braden both love to hang out with Daddy. Anywhere Daddy goes, they will follow if we let them.

A quick hug with Daddy always does the trick after a long day at work!

Pump it Up Party

Jackson went to his very first birthday party a few weeks ago. It was at a place called Pump It Up! Basically it is a giant room filled with blow-up bounce houses. Jackson had a blast! Here is a video of Jackson on the big slide and then a few shots from the party. What fun!

A Bath with my Brother

Jackson and Braden usually bath separately, but the other night we decided to let them take one together. They had so much fun. Braden is getting to be such a big boy and Jackson loved taking care of his brother. Hopefully this is just the beginning of their friendship as brothers.

A little brotherly hug.

Undeniable Cuteness!

Jackson is a goofball and Braden just keeps us guessing. My boys never fail to make me smile. I love them in new ways everyday. Here are a few shots of my sweet boys.

Jackson showing off his cheesy grin.

Braden working out those muscles on his stomach.

Don't ask me why, but Braden loves to sleep with a blanket over his face. We find him this way a lot, but I figure if it helps him sleep, so be it.

I just can't get enough of that grin!

Braden checking out Gatsby. He thinks it is pretty weird that one of our stuffed animals can move and talk!

Jackson put pillows all around Braden and told us it was Braden's airplane. I am not sure how that translates, but it sure is cute that Jackson wants to help his little brother.

The Timeout Chair

Part of our attempts to help Jackson learn how to be a good boy is the timeout chair. We use it sparingly, only for big offences, and it still isn't always effective. As you can see in the first picture he is smiling at me while I take his picture in the timeout chair. He also obliged me by looking at the cabinets for the other picture. I suppose I shouldn't be taking his picture, but he is just too cute! Even when his naughtiness gets him time in the timeout chair.

Christmas Morning 2008

Christmas morning was so much fun this year. Jackson was so excited that Santa came in the night and brought presents. He was in awe of the whole process. We loved watching him take it all in.

He had to make sure every last nook and cranny was empty before starting to open.

And I mean every last nook and cranny!

Christmas Eve 2008

We spent Christmas Eve this year at our house. Everyone was able to get to us after several days stuck in the snow. Luckily we could all celebrate together with presents, hugs, kisses, and cookies. Fun was had by all, and it was wonderful to see each other. Even Santa and his reindeer got treats. This was a Christmas filled with the wonder of three-year-old eyes.

Silly and Sleepy

My boys are undeniably goofy and filled with laughter. We have so much fun and play so hard that they tend to crash with great gusto as well. Whether smiling or sleeping I love them the same. Here are a few silly and sleepy shots of my sweet boys.
